Energy consumption field assessment method for water chillers in building energy audit

Field testing and energy consumption assessment of water chillers play an important role in analyzing energy consumption of air conditioning systems and the whole building in building energy audit. By the energy consumption assessment software worked out by the author, theoretical calculation COP of water chillers in actual conditions is obtained and compared with the measured COP to determine whether the operating efficiency of water chillers is rational and energy consumption is within a normal range. With two building project examples, through the field testing and the energy consumption assessment, proves that the energy consumption assessment software is reliable.
